Of course, other top medical facilities like Emory University and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta are less than an hour away.

6. It is affordable. The cost of living in Newnan is a little less than the national average. With that in mind, the median household income and median home value is actually higher than the rest of the state of Georgia.

7. There are many things to do. Parks, shopping, dining out, movies, plays, golf, historic places — there are hundreds of things to do in Newnan on a Saturday afternoon. Once you exhaust those options, you can head to Atlanta to check out some of the most famous tourist attractions in the country.
